Congratulations on becoming an I Define Me (IDM) School Chapter!

Educational Equity for girls is so important and the I Define ME Movement feels it's important for all of our girls to define themselves and have culturally relevant materials!

By this time, you should have received all of your start up curricula to begin conducting circles with the girls. Review the materials and keep in mind, we encourage you to make these circles and the curricula your own. Each week will make reference to optional pages in the book that you can utilize for activities with the girls.

What is not optional is making sure that the girls are in a safe space, making sure they learn the value of self awareness, and making sure they learn the I Define ME Pledge and as well as the IDM Song.

Below is additional information about the structure of the class.

Space:

Open space, music, chairs, whiteboard or projector for videos.

Supplies:

Bands, Journals, books, lanyards, IDM TShirts, Keeper Cards

Rules:

What goes on in a circle/Stays in the circle

NO Profanity

We don't do names, meaning we only talk about ourselves

Don't miss more than 3 circles/

Bring your IDM Swag to all circles

Wear your IDM Tee, have fun, and be yourself. (Girls know when you aren't being authentic.)
