Format (Weekly):

1. IDM Affirmation Word of the Week: Increase emotional literacy. Use IDM affirmation cards.
2. IDM Meditation- Facilitator lead or Peer lead with music and meditation formation or using mindfulness minute card prompts
3. IDM Video: Watch and discuss videos focusing on social topics.(optional)
4. IDM Keeper Conversation-Use Keeper Conversation cards allowing girls to connect with each other with ice breaker cards. Girls will always write out answers in journal.
5. IDM Book-read from the books to increase literacy accessing culturally relevant books
6. IDM Mentoring Hour: Participate in the "Let Go/Let Flow" support group (optional).
7. IDM Pledge: Conclude each group with the IDM Pledge and or Song.
8. IDM Hot Seat Guest (Monthly): Invite men to speak to the boys. Aim for 1 mentor per 10-15 mentees.

Additional Guidelines:

• Safe Space: Provide a safe space for meetings. Chairs in a circle.
• Order Supplies: Ensure trademarked lanyards, bands, and IDM books/Journals are ordered prior to facilitating your circle.
• Portal Check: Review the portal before each week of facilitating.
• Hot Seat Guest Booking: Book your Hot Seat guest in advance.
• Supplies: Have books, pencils, pens, book bags, and other supplies ready.
• Apparel: Purchase our trademarked IDM T-shirts, hoodies and or cinch bags for the girls through our IDM Website.
