Sistakeeper Poetry for the Soul: Challenge Me
Challenge Me!
I want you to challenge me!
Ask me where I am going
What do I want to be
I want you to challenge me, not be my friend
I got enough of them and plenty of enemies
but I need you to lead me.
I want you to challenge me!
Tell me what it takes to say no,
tell me how to put sex on hold
and why it is so important for me to have goals.
Tell me to cut off that TV and go to my room.
I want you to challenge me
not make me feel stupid, put down or threatened
don’t kick me out or teach me a lesson
I want you to challenge me!
Love me on my searchin’ journey,
discipline with integrity,
listen to me when I sound crazy
because everyday I am growing….
And I need someone who loves me, someone who cares…
To challenge me!
