The One Thing I Know for Sure

Some things change, but one thing stays the same

Your ability to think, which represents who you are.

Your style, your personality… are you funny, cool, athletic,

  A poet, or a reader, quiet or shy?

One thing I do know is – you are you!

Nothing beats a failure, but a try!

That means you need not be afraid to take chances.

Being you is way cool,

You are a unique individual, and there is no other.

So listen to yourself…

What does peer pressure mean to you?

Are you independent? Do you listen to certain types of

music, wear certain types of clothes, walk a certain way?

Grab a piece of paper and define yourself today.

What is my style?

  Who am I like?

          Who do I want to be?

When you write your answers down you bring them into the present. 

Look in the mirror and talk to yourself and define independence.   

Know what you believe in saying to yourself the one thing I know for sure… is me!

Journal Entry:

Name one thing you know for sure about yourself.

If you could describe an inner strength about you, what would it be?

(i.e., patient, kind, strong)

Define adversities (challenges). When you deal with adversities or negativities, how do you handle them?

Define peer pressure. How do you handle peer pressure when your friends want you to do things that you do not want to do?

What is your favorite nutritional food and drink?

What is your favorite way to exercise or relieve stress? 

What hygiene tip would you give a friend? (Examples- do not use each other’s lip-gloss, use deodorant, shower daily, etc)

Reputation - what does reputation mean to you?

Describe the type of friends you like to be around?

Describe what types of activities you do to make yourself feel good?

If you could meet one person in the world, who would it be, why?

If you could give one piece of advice, stating the one thing, you know for sure? What would it be?

Remember: The one thing I know for sure is I am Me!
